Julian Garcia is an Associate Civil Engineer currently working in the Land Development Division of the Los Angeles County Department of Public Works, where he has been employed for the last 7 years. Mr. Garcia graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering, Building Science from the University of Southern California in 2000.

His involvement in ASCE began with an active role in the Younger Member Forum where he has served as Popsicle Stick Bridge Contest Coordinator, Community Service Chair, University Outreach Chair, and K-12 Outreach Chair, as well as President for the 2004-2005 term.

Serge Haddad worked as a Structural Designer for the Environmental Engineering Division, as a Project Engineer (PE) for the Bridge Improvement Program, as a PE for the Wastewater Conveyance Construction Division, and is currently the Council / Board Liaison for the Bureau of Engineering (BOE).

Serge Haddad is very involved in the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE). He has been the President for the MLAB Younger Member Forum (YMF), as well as the University Outreach Chair and Scholarship Chair. Under his leadership, ASCE has won several National, State, and Local awards.

Serge Haddad attained a B.S. in Civil Engineering at Loyola Marymount and earned his graduate degree in Structural Engineering from the University of Southern California.

Brett Grunert is a senior at CSUN who served on their concrete canoe team his freshman year and as the PSWRC Conference Chair for their student chapter as recently as last year. Originally from Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin, Brett is attending CSUN to participate on their swim team as well as to obtain his B.S. in civil engineering. He intends to pursue either geotechnical or structural work after graduation and currently hods a positon with Geocon, Inc.

Jinny Huang is a senior at UCLA and has been involved in the ASCE UCLA
student chapter since her freshman year. She has served as the
Secretary, Historian, Vice-President and Conference Chair in the past
years and has been involved in the concrete canoe project and surveying
team. Jinny will be graduating this school year with a B.S. in civil
engineering and plans to pursue her master's degree in water resources
and business.

Grace Uang is a senior at UCLA and has been involved in the ASCE chapter ever since she attended conference during her sophomore year. The following year, Grace served as the Speaker/Job Fair Coordinator, where she invited professionals from different disciplines to speak at our general meetings. She also coordinated the annual job fair, which hosted 21 companies. Outside of ASCE, Grace has tutored inner-city students at Inglewood High, and has served as Sponsorship Director for the UCLA Cultural Affairs Commission 18th Annual UCLA JazzReggae Festival. She enjoys exposing herself to diverse cultures and greater worldly issues. She is also involved with the Darfur Action Committee, addressing concerns about the severe socio-cultural and political issues relating to the current genocide in Sudan. In her spare time she enjoys traveling, biking, restaurant-hopping, dancing, hanging out with friends, music, and all things eccentric. In addition, this past summer she had an amazing experience as an intern with Shimmick Construction in the Golden Gate Bridge Retrofit Phase II. Grace will be graduating this school year with a B.S. in civil engineering, and plans on pursuing a master’s degree in structural engineering and eventually getting her MBA.
