Project (City of Los Angeles Bureau of Engineering)
Sewer tunnel project that was put into service on May
27, 2005 (ahead of schedule). The project was a $162
million, over 5.2 mile long and almost 8 feet finished
diameter sewer.

The Road Closures Website
(County of Los Angeles Department of Public Works)
Website was created within days that record-breaking rainfall
damaged over 130 roads in LA County. Provided citizens
with timely access to much-needed information about this
local emergency.

James H. Clark (Black & Veatch)
Vice President and Senior Project Manager of the engineering/construction
firm of Black & Veatch Corporation. He manages
planning, design and operations projects for many of its
premier water and wastewater clients in western North America. He
is also the recipient of many awards for his work and has
authored more than 20 publications.

Sun Valley Park Multiuse Project
(County of Los Angeles Department of Public Works)
This project showcases innovative application of watershed
management principles and new technology in the development
of new, sustainable urban infrastructure. The project
will simultaneously provide flood protection, stormwater
quality enhancements, water recharge, recreational and
aesthetic enhancements, and watershed education.
