Salary: Annual salary range is $164,453 to $219,545. The City will offer the successful candidate at least $196,227 to ensure internal equity and mitigate compression. The City may offer moving and relocation reimbursement up to $15,000. Additionally, the City of Tempe offers a benefit package.

The City of Tempe, AZ is offering an exciting career opportunity for an Engineering & Transportation Director. The focus of the E&T Director is to plan, direct, and review the activities and operations of the City's E&T Department including CIP Design; CIP Construction; Engineering Services; Right-of-Way/Utilities; Energy Programs; Transportation Planning; Traffic Engineering; Transportation Maintenance; Transit Maintenance & Operations; and Streetcar.

Qualifications:

Requires a Bachelor's degree and 8 years of full-time management / administrative experience in one or more of the following areas: Engineering; Traffic; Transportation; and/or Municipal Operations Management. A Master’s degree is preferred.
