About the Event
Join your fellow ASCE Members for a tour of the Joseph Jensen Water Treatment Plant. Commissioned in 1971, the Jensen Plant is the largest such facility west of the Mississippi River, with a capacity of 750 million gallons per day. Treated water from the plant helps supply the San Fernando Valley, Ventura County, West Los Angeles, Santa Monica, and the Palos Verdes Peninsula. It is named after Joseph Jensen, Metropolitan Water District's (MWD) longest serving board chair, who served from 1949 to 1974.
