Job Description:
One of the world’s most celebrated communities, Beverly Hills, is in Southern California and is home to 32,000 residents. The Supervising Plan Review Engineer reports to the Deputy Building Official in the Community Development Department, supervises and directs the work of five Plan Review Engineers, and coordinates the work of outside consulting firms.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction practices and regulations and plan review processes for public and private buildings. In addition, they must possess knowledge of local technical, zoning, and related codes and ordinances, as well as Federal and State codes and Title 24. Experience in contract negotiations and administration and a history of maintaining productive relationships with colleagues will also be expected.

Qualifications:
Education and experience equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, three (3) years of experience comparable to a Senior Plan Review Engineer, and registration as a Civil or Structural Engineer in California is required.
